If you’ve been in a corporate environment within the last 5 years, you’ve probably developed an allergic reaction to the words “do more with less!” The meaning that businesses put on this tag line is “do more work with less resources”. As a result, they are losing talented people, and prioritizing based on what is “cheap” to do.
What about the following?
- Say more with less words
- Collaborate more with having less meetings and e-mails
- Create a more impactful product with less features
- Inspire more people by running less ad campaigns
- Get more results with less tasks on your to-do list
- Reach more milestones with less steps
- Produce more brilliance with less data analysis
We can “do more with less” in a way that is meaningful, that motivates people to create something new and exciting. Having less can actually be freeing instead of constraining. We just have to be willing to question the usual way. So, start with yourself. Who knows, others may join you.
